When Jesus encountered a paralyzed man being lowered through the roof, He looked at him and declared, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” In today’s message, Pastor Terry teaches that this statement would have shocked everyone. All expected Jesus to heal the paralyzed man, not forgive His sins. However, Jesus understood that the eternal destiny of a human soul was much more important that the physical health of a human body. This fact is apropos going into a New Year. All the healthy and positive New Year’s resolutions do not matter if you do not have a right standing with God.
