The marriage institution was put into place by God long before other institutions were developed. As Pastor Terry shares in his message, Christ specifically compares His relationship with the church to marriage. The church is the bride of Christ and therefore the idea of marriage is clearly significant to God. It is our responsibility to continue to esteem and honor this relationship in a world that seeks to devalue and devastate marriages and families. Centering marriage around Christ’s example will help us to honor it to its full importance.
