Herod liked John the Baptist. He would go out of his way to listen to him preach in the dungeons. He seemed to enjoy hearing the Truth that John was proclaiming. Sadly, Herod never allowed that truth to break through his hardened, sinful heart, and he ultimately had John murdered at the bidding of his evil wife. As Pastor Terry warns in today’s message, it is very dangerous to live at the edge of Truth. We may go to church week after week, enjoying the message, but never taking it to heart. At some point we must choose either to accept it or deny it.
