Just as Jesus expressed through the parable of the sower, different people are like different types of soil. Some hear the Gospel and it takes a shallow root, but before it can take firm root, their faith dries up or is choked out by the weeds of false doctrine and the flesh. While this scenario can play out in different forms, as Pastor Terry explains in today’s message, this means that not everyone who appears to have had a salvation experience is actually saved, but those who genuinely are saved cannot and would not break the covenant God has made with them.
