Decades ago The Mills Brothers recorded a song called “You Always Hurt The One You Love”. That song was very popular and was re-recorded several times over the years. One of the lines was “You always break the kindest heart, with a hasty word you can't recall.” We cannot take back the words we speak. Once they're out there, the damage is done. And all to often we consider those closest to us as fair game for our cutting speech. We say things to them we would hesitate to say to anyone else. Today Pastor Terry gives us some biblical strategies to avoid hurting anyone with our words.
