We often put pastors and other Christian leaders on a pedestal and tend to think they can do no wrong. This is especially true of figures from the scriptures. But as Pastor Terry points out in today's study, even the disciples had feet of clay and often acted selfishly. Their faith wavered from time to time and there was much Jesus did that they simply did not understand. Like us, they failed and faltered as they followed Christ. But in spite of all that, Christ's love for them was unfaltering. So it is true for us today that His unwavering love is not based on our performance, but on His grace.
