The pattern of the nation of Israel was to turn to other nations and other powers for help instead of turning to GOD as they should have. And as Pastor Terry will point out today, this nation faced brutal destruction and captivity and ceased being a nation because of it. God judged Israel primarily because they forgot the Lord’s goodness to them as a nation. As you forget God, selfishness and pride grow in your heart. You create your own idols and push God out of every aspect of your life. Please don’t forget his goodness to you!
