Ascension Day is the day that Jesus ascended up into heaven. For forty days after his resurrection, Christ would appear and converse with His apostles. On the last of those forty days, He magnificently ascended into heaven in front of them. Today, Pastor Terry explains to us the great implications of this. For starters, it declared his coronation into Heaven. He had been victorious in His mission here and returned home to take rule. It also instated the Church as his representatives. From then on, Christians were responsible to spread his word, using the gifts he bestowed them.
