We can become very secure in our own “goodness”. It's easy for us to compare our lives to that of a pedophile or a mass murderer and tell ourselves that at least we're not THAT bad. In today's study, Pastor Terry reminds us that we will not be compared to others as we stand before God, but will stand alone. It's not our standard of righteousness that will matter, but God's. Our own goodness will not be sufficient to gain entrance into heaven. But if we can't justify ourselves before God, then what hope do we have?
