Mainstream psychology tells you to find and love yourself before you can be successful in your life and relationships. This represents a very humanistic view that proposes that we are all innately good, and it’s just a matter of finding that goodness. Sadly, as Pastor Terry points out in today’s message, that’s not the case. You are a fallen creature. You inherited an ugly sinful nature that has reared its head since you were young. The good news is, your Creator loved you in spite of that, and when you die to that old self and are made alive in Him, you can find pride as His Child.
