We like to think of ourselves as “enlightened” as the human race. From our scientific and medical achievements to the engineering wonders and societal constructs that are unrivaled in history, we esteem ourselves pretty highly. But, as Pastor Terry reminds us in today’s message, Christ is over and above all. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. Many would consider the President of the United States to be one of, if not the most powerful figures in the world – but Christ is the Lord of lords – whether we acknowledge Him or not, He is the most powerful being in the universe.
