Since their enthusiastic promise to give to them a year had passed. Paul was calling them out on it. He wasn't pressuring them to give, but to fulfill the promise they had made. You may be similarly struggling. You have the intentions to give but your car breaks down, a vacation comes up, you need those new shoes. Paul encourages you to stay faithful and give joyfully.
