Living a Christian life will often feel like trying to row a boat upstream. Mankind as a whole is spiraling down further and further into immorality and a state of deception. Today’s passage gives us an account of the disciples battling against a raging storm on the Sea of Galilee. As Pastor Terry points out, the disciples united contest against the elements is a beautiful, challenging image of what the Church is supposed to be. They were working together, everyone rowing, no one was just sitting by as a spectator. They were united and Jesus was on His way to rescue them.
