Imagine the suffering involved in the cross of Christ. His humiliating arrest, the mocking and the painful torture. And the final straw – his terrible death as a criminal. This felt like utter defeat to those who loved him. Yet, as Pastor Terry explains today, because Jesus is God, he overcame all of that, including death, to become the victor. He’s the forever, never to be undone, victor! And Jesus says that if you’re a believer in him, you’re also victorious. Because of his victory you also will overcome the world.
