Ezekiel 13-14
We will look at a big temptation leaders face in tough times - the temptation of denial. When news is bad, nobody wants to be the one who shares it. The problem is that, sometimes, sorting through the bad news first is the only way to get to the good news! When we tell people only what they want to hear, we make peace and approval to our idols. This idolatry distorts leadership and prophecy to the point that things are rotten from the top down; leaders who lead astray will be severely judged by the Lord.
