Ezekiel 8-10
The Lord shows Ezekiel the secret places of idolatry that existed inside the temple in Jerusalem. He then shows Ezekiel what he plans to do about it, and it's overwhelming to the prophet. Yet, even in this vision of richly-deserved consequences, God makes a plan to protect those who grieve over sin in the way that he does. It is the same, today - the Lord marks those who are truly repentant as his own; they are safe from the executioner and the day of destruction. We need to be marked for mercy in Jesus Christ on That Day!
