The oldest references to Jesus are in the book of Genesis; here we see his divinity, mission, and victory over sin and hell foretold! We also see the first substitutionary sacrifice and the institution of shedding blood to cover over the shame and exposure that come from sin. Jesus is on the very first page of the Bible!
