• Jeff Bridges portrays an alien from outer space who crashes to earth and seeks the help of a grieving widow to help him get to a recovery ship.
• Fainting
  Jenny played by watches as this strange thing morphs from a baby to a man in front of her. Instead of fainting upon witnessing this occurrence, she decides to faint after the fact.
• T-shirt and Panties
  Dunno, but t-shirt and panties… There’s something so very attractive about that ensemble and wears them well.
• Bird-like Tendency
  Jeff Bridges studied bird behavior as reference to develop the mannerism of an alien.
• Immaculate Conception
  The alien tells Jenny he impregnated her after a very awkward sex scene. Immediately, Jerry thought of the birth of Christ and how a being (God) tells marry she is carrying the Savior of Men. There’s a weird correlation that may or may not be inherent enough for conversation.
• Magic Stick
  Since Jenny is unable to conceive and the alien gave her a baby, Jerry floors Chris with a quip about the “magic stick.”

How do you say goodbye to an alien friend?

I suppose it’s dependent on your relationship with the alien in question. Is it an love interest or just a friend? Either way, “I love you” seems to be the universal phrase used to express ones deepest emotion towards another being. In the movie ET, this was conveyed by a simple glowing finger point at the area of the chest that houses the heart. What do you think? Have you ever had to say goodbye to someone dear to you? How did you express that feeling?

Have you ever felt like a visitor from another planet? A fish out of water?

Not because I’m black but mostly because I am weird. I have has always felt indifferent to what is considered normal. Maybe that’s because I have always been told that I am not like other people (or as most of the ladies I courted in my youth, guys). Whether it was my goofy behavior as a kid or my despondent attitude in high school, I have always felt out of place everywhere.

Chris is always pretty cool, calm, and collected space oddity. He never flinches to new situations and faces them head on with an iron chin pointed to the skies.
