Brian here! And we're back! Joining LT and me is James the Augmented Sailor, as we talk through Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Season 1 Episode 4, titled Memento Mori. This episode was written by co-executive producer Davy Perez & Beau DeMayo, and Dan Liu directed it. We all LOVED this episode, and thought it was one of the best, if not the best, of the season so far!
At the time of release, we have already recorded episodes 5, 6, and 7. However, we still have spots open for episodes 8, 9, and 10, as well as our Picard episodes 6-10. If you're interested in being a guest host, please let us know. We typically record Strange New Worlds on the weekend, while we have more flexibility with Picard.
About an hour into recording, the connection between my recorder/mixer and the computer died, and I was unable to get it working again (until the next day). We had to improvise. James and LT had to hear me using wired headphones, and the soundboard, which included a voice mail and the news over the microphone from the tablet, was played to them by bringing the tablet close to my headphones' microphone. The quality was poor, so you may hear us run over each other. Thankfully, I was still able to record myself using a good microphone and I replaced the soundboard effects manually. You shouldn't notice much of a difference, but I wanted to mention it in case anyone notices.
