Michael Batchman, has been with Basic, for over 36 years as a Clinical Supervisor, he joined me in studio, for this discussion on substance abuse  programs, available for the African American community and how Basic has incorporated black culture,into its treatment strategies. -----

We’re also joined by Dr. Mary Norwood PhD, founder of “Senior Solutions Third Generation,” her  focus is on senior citizens who suffer from substance abuse issues. -----

We recalled the mass drug overdose tragedy in the winter of 2022, the worst in StLouis’s history, that resulted in 8 deaths all African Americans, living in city managed senior citizens apartments, on Forest Park Blvd in the central west end. ------
