7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!

The phrase *“LOVING KINDNESS/steadfast love”* translates the Hebrew word **ḥesed**, which refers to **covenant loyalty**, not mere affection. In ancient Israel, ḥesed described God’s faithful commitment to His people despite their failures.
