Alex Honnold, an American solo free climber, successfully scaled the sheer rock face of Yosemite National Park's El Capitan in 2017… Without ROPES! I live in the land of the 14,000 ft mountains, Colorado. I've climbed two of these massive mountains and can't begin to imagine what it would feel like to climb a sheer rock face without ropes.
When you walk through unimaginable struggle in your life, it's a lot like climbing a large mountain, straight up-hill. When I went through my divorce several years ago, I remember feeling the weight of my failure and my two children who relied on me to keep climbing through the discomfort and frustration of our family crumbling apart.
Kelsi Kraus, a vivacious, inspiring, free spirited, mother is currently in the middle of her own climb. Though there are many 'tags' that I would give Kelsi, one of the biggest would be 'climber'. She's bravely lifting herself out of immense pain and heartache with resilience, strength, community, faith and perspective. Today's episode will inspire you to think differently as 2020 comes to a close.
