I've been spending some more time on the new social media app called Clubhouse and I've noticed something that stands out in the personalities on the app. There are quite a few people who are boasting about their success, how much money they make, how much status they have and how easy it is for them to achieve above the rest of us. Then there are ACTUALLY incredibly successful people who have access in ways that many of us can only dream of and they are typically modest about their achievements. I would call these two tags "cocky" and "humble".
My entire life I thought that those two tags had to be worn separately. That one person couldn't be wearing both tags at the same time, during the same season. However, as I've spent time in different rooms, I've realized something interesting. Some of the people that I've observed are showing up as "cocky" in rooms that they feel they have social status, with people that they believe they are above in achievement and clout. Then, those same people show up in rooms where it's obvious that they are a small fish in a big pond. Suddenly they appear "humble" as they shrink to fit the role, they believe they are allowed to play in the room. Today's episode will shine a light on these tags and get you thinking about which one you want to wear, if not both.
