One of my all-time favorite musicals is Wicked,and I have to say that at first, I wasn't sure how well it would work on the big screen. But I was astonished beyond belief. When I finished viewing the film, it was such a powerful and exquisitely interwoven emotional rollercoaster. Cynthia Erivo is a natural force. Her voice is strong, sincere, and incredibly poignant—it is pure magic. Her ability to express emotions with her eyes alone is truly captivating, and every note feels alive. Conversely, Ariana Grande was a nice surprise! She showed unexpected levels of sensitivity while bringing a great deal of comedy, empathy, and charm to her part.
