After a 16-month battle with chemo and radiation, Jack lost his fight in February 2009. In a heart-wrenching series of events, Angie's brother, Seth, who had been battling a brain tumor for 5 years, underwent a third surgery and, tragically, didn't recover. He passed away just two months after Jack, in April 2009. The thread of grief persisted as Angie unexpectedly lost her sister-in-law in 2018 due to alcoholism.

Despite these immense losses, Angie has found strength in her mission. She's successfully launched "Butterflies + Halo's," an online greeting card business focused on offering hope to grieving hearts.
