Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
This is the second prayer in the series. Forgiveness.
Father, God, in the name of Jesus, your name is holy. You are our God and our Lord and our savior. You are our creator and we worship you. We adore you. We know that we are loved by you and we give you glory and praise for that. We know that our sins are forgiven by you.
And we thank you, God, for your blood that was shared. For your word says without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. And Jesus, because you gave your life to us. You died on the cross. You rose again. That we have forgiveness and we have the righteousness of God. Thank you for forgiving our sins.
And God, as you have given us, we forgive others. We practice forgiveness. We center our lives on forgiveness and forgiving others. In Jesus' name, we let go of the bitterness, the hurt, and the anger that has caused us to experience unforgiveness. We let go of the offense.
And God in the name of Jesus, we practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is our way of life. And when we let go of the offense, we experience a freedom that only comes from you. Thank you for the power of forgiveness. Forgiveness is truly a miracle. Thank you for the new ways and a new way of thinking and the new creativity that comes as a result of forgiveness. In Jesus' name. We pray. Amen. And amen.
