Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
This is a series of prayers for those that were recently affected by the tragic events that have happened in our nation.
Father God, in the name of Jesus, I give you glory. I give you, honor. I give you praise. And I thank you for your loving kindness and for your tender mercy. I thank you for your protection. I thank you, God, that you are always with us, your word says you will never leave us nor forsake us.
So I pray that you would be with those families who have lost loved ones and suffered such trauma and traumatic events. God, I pray that the holy spirit will be their comforter, their guide, their peace, and their decision-making in everything they have to do in the coming days. And God, I pray that you will heal the communities of the hurt and the pain and the loss.
God, I pray that you would heal the children of the trauma. In Jesus's name. And God, our pray against the trouble being a long-term negative impact on their lives. I pray God that you would send support groups and counselors, and whatever's needed to administer to the children, in order that to children may be healed.
I pray, oh God for the parents. And those that have lost loved ones, God, I pray for their comfort for their strength. God, I pray that you would be the thing that fills their heart, that void that's in their souls. That pain is in the hearts and minds. Your word says you are acquainted with grief. So, God, I pray that your comfort would be with them. Your strength would be with them.
In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let them feel your love. Let them feel your divine presence. Let them feel the love of others in Jesus' name. Amen.
