Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
This prayer is against violence.
Father God, in the name of Jesus, I honor your name and what a great name you have, the name of Jesus. The one that we can call on no matter what's going on in our lives and will matter what is going on in our nation.
God, I pray for the healing of our nation. Your word says if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, seek Your face, turn from their wicked ways. Then you would hear and heal our land. You will hear from heaven and heal our land.
And God, I give you glory and I give you praise that the prayer is against gun violence. God, I pray that the holy spirit would arrest that spirit of murder, that spirit of evil in the name of Jesus. And that every attack of the enemy is cast down in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray to God that you would spoil every plan, you would ambush the devil in all of his plans to destroy innocent people in the name of Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus and your protection all over our children. Over our schools. Over our churches. Over our supermarket, God. Over a glory be to God, every environment where people are gathered, I pray for divine protection. I pray that you would send angels to protect your people. In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we don't know what to do in the trouble of the land seemed so overwhelming, we thank you that we have a God to whom we can pray. And you hear our prayers and you will answer us.
So, God, we pray again against the spirit of violence. We bind it in the name of Jesus. You have given us the keys to the kingdom, the power to bind and to lose. So we bind up violence. God, we bind up the spirit of murder in evil and we lose your protection. We lose angels that are around us to protect us God in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
And we give you glory and we give you praise for the wonderful things that you're doing in our lives. Glory, be to God. For the wonderful things that you're doing in the lives of our children and our families and our extended families. We praise you for it. And we honor you in Jesus' name. Amen.
