Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
This is a series of prayers on spiritual warfare and the battle of the mind.
Father God in the name of Jesus, I honor you and I give you glory and I give you praise. And I thank you for this brand new day, this brand new week. As a result of your grace and mercy, we are here today. And how we thank you for preserving our lives.
And today God, our prayers are for those that are struggling in their mind. And we know that the mind is the battlefield for the devil. He comes to invade our thoughts. To rob us of our peace. But your word has declared that though we are in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Casting down imaginations and every height thing that result in itself against the knowledge of God.
And bringing into captivity, every thought to the obedience of Christ. So, God, we pray in the name of Jesus that our prayers are destroying fortresses, strongholds, and patterns of thinking that have resulted from negative experiences and sin.
We are declaring victory over vain imaginations in everything that tries to usurp God's knowledge and his order in our lives. We pray through the power of your word in the holy spirit. And we are denouncing every thought of lust and enticement that comes to draw our hearts away from you. In Jesus' name.
And we give you glory and we give you praise for the freedom that we have in you. And the freedom that we have as a result of knowing your word, you came to give us peace for your announcement on earth was peace on earth and goodwill towards all men. So I pray for the mind. I pray for the thought patterns that we would be renewed in our minds through the power of the holy spirit and through your word.
In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
