Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
Father God in the name of Jesus, we continue our series on the mind and the renewal of the mind. And we thank you for your power that's in our lives, that's renewing our minds. As we study your word, God, our minds are being formed and reset.
And God, we thank you that your word tells us that we have a choice of the things in which we think. Philippians four and eight says Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever thing are honest, whatsoever things adjust, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things of good report; if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things.
And father God in the name of Jesus, we, with your help retrain our minds and we take the scripture to think on the things that are lovely, that is true, that is good report, that be any praise. We elevate our minds. Glory be to God. To think on the things of God, in Jesus' name.
We elevate our thoughts, And we declare that you in control of everything that concerns us. We elevate our minds. Glory be to God. And we will not live in the past, but we'll think on the things that you have done for us. You've moved mightily in our lives. You've given us hope when we didn't have any hope. You came with peace and an abundance of peace. You got us through some hard times in our lives. We'll think on the things that you have done for us and truly you've been good to us. And for that, we give you glory. For that, we give you praise. For that, we honor your name.
Thank you for the great work of grace. That stress from my heart in my mind in Jesus' name. Amen and Amen.
