Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
This prayer is for help from the holy spirit.
Father God in the name of Jesus, we give you glory and praise and we honor your name. And oh God, what a great name. We thank you, oh God, for being our father. We thank you, God, that we are your sons and your daughters.
And we thank you, God, that the battle that we're facing now is not ours. The songwriter says, oh Lord, the battle belongs to you. And you only called us to fight the good fight of faith. So whatever we're struggling with, give us the spirit of Jehoshaphat. When being faced by a great army, sent us a word from the prophet. And let us know that the battle is not ours. It is the Lord.
So God, in the name of Jesus, we cast off everything that we're struggling with. Everything that we've been plagued with. Every infirmity, every disease, we cast off in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Every relationship issue, whatever we are going through. Glory, your word commands us to cast all of our cares upon you.
And God, we're just gonna sing and we're gonna rejoice. Our job, glory be to, God is to worship glory. We're gonna worship you. We're gonna praise you. We're gonna say how great and mighty you are in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I give you glory and I give you praise that you never lost a battle. I give you glory. I give you praise that you're the greatest commander that ever lived, glory be of God. And you're on our side and we don't have any reason to fear. In Jesus' name. But a battle is not ours. It's the Lord. Oh, God, help us to lay it at your feet. The battle doesn't belong to me. The struggle doesn't belong to me. Help me to know that you're in charge.
