Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
Father God in the name of Jesus, we give you glory, we give you praise. We thank you, for how you touched our lives. How you have given us a new direction. You have given us a hunger and a thirst after your righteousness. And your word says, bless it a day, that hunger and thirst for, they shall be filled.
And today God, our desire is not only to be hearers of the words but be doers of the word. So I asked you that you would give us strength. Oh, God. To Obey you in every way, in the name of Jesus. In everything that you have instructed us to do, we pray that we would have the strength to obey you in Jesus' name. That we would have the strength to say no to our fleshly emotions and our flesh, desires, and our selfish desires. And we'll say yes to the cause of Christ. We'll say yes to expanding the gospel and advancing the kingdom, in Jesus's name. Help us to be doers of the word. Help us to be doers of the word and not deceive our own selves, but God help, in the name of Jesus, to perform small, random acts of kindness that are going to bless others and show your love through us.
In Jesus' name, we pray that you would give us someone to bless, give us someone to encourage, give us someone to support, in Jesus' name. In order that your kingdom will be in the earth. I give you glory. I praise that we are doers of the words and not hears only in Jesus' name. Amen.
