Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
This prayer is for the church and for believers everywhere. As Paul prayed for the church at Colossae, I am praying for the church today.
Father God in the name of Jesus, I honor your name. I give you all glory and all praise for truly. You are the great I am. You are in control and we pray for the body of believers known as the church.
One thing, God, that we are sure of is that your word says that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God. In abundance, the basic foundation, on which you would build your church. And at the very gates of hell, we shall not be able to fail to rail against it. So we thank you, God, that the church is alive and well for the church is on the inside of us.
It is even our faith in you and our desire to walk in your ways. So I pray that you would strengthen every believer's faith today in Jesus' name. That they would have a commitment and a resolve in their spirits that they belong to you. And that when you're on our side, you're more than a whole world against them.
So, God, I pray that in the name of Jesus, that the church is filled with knowledge and the will of God. That we would know your will and your purpose for us. I pray that the church will walk worthy of the Lord into all pleasing and our lifestyles, and we will align our lives with the scripture, God, and we will walk in truth and Jesus name.
I pray that the churches are strengthened by the power of your might, that we are strengthened on the inner man and God that the fortitude that you have placed in all of us will press us towards you in Jesus' name. We will look to you for our strength. We will look to you for our help. We will look for you in all of our circumstances and God that we would develop hearts of Thanksgiving, that we would always give thanks unto the father. And we would always be thankful, for all the things that you've done for us. For truly when we back over our lives and we think things over our resolve and our testimony is, "thank you, Lord. You've been good to us."
So, God, I pray that you would strengthen the church. Strengthen the bodies of believers, in Jesus' name. And I give you glory and I give you praise in Jesus' name.
