Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining in this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
Father God in the name of Jesus. We give you glory. We give you praise. We honor your name today for we know that you are sovereign. You are the sovereign God. That means that you are in complete control. You know all. You see all. And we give you glory. We give you praise that you would comfort the hearts and minds of those that feel fearful. That feel anxiety as a result of what's going on in our country
.For your word says you have not given us a spirit of fear, but the spirit that you have given us is love, joy, and peace in the Holy ghost. And so I pray that your love would encompass there. And surround their hearts and their minds, and they would know without a shadow of a doubt that you are going to keep them. you're going to protect them. You're going to protect their families. You're going to protect their homes because, why? We put our trust in you. And so God, in the name of Jesus, we come against the violence. We come against the destruction that we are seen, in our nation this week. And we pray in the name of Jesus for peace and harmony in Jesus' name. We stayed a hand of evil now, in Jesus' name. We ask that you would stay the hand of evil. That you will spoil every attack of the terrorists in Jesus' name. And every plan will be uncovered in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And God, you desire above all that we live in harmony and peace today. So I pray that you would send the Holy Spirit that will bring peace to our hearts and our minds. We trust you, Lord. We believe you, and we honor you for it now in Jesus' name.
