Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining in this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
This prayer is taken from Proverbs chapter three, verses five and six, and it reads trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean, not to your own understanding in all your ways, acknowledge him. And he shall direct your path. Father God in the name of Jesus, we give you glory. We give you praise and we honor your great name for you are our God, our Lord, and our Savior.
You created us, you know all about us. You are keeping us safe and we honor you for that. You're keeping our family safe. We praise you for that. And for those who have lost loved ones, God, we pray in the name of Jesus that you would touch their hearts, that you would heal them. That you would comfort them and that they will feel your peace. It is the peace that passes all understanding. And God that they would have the blessed assurance that you love them. And that you're on their side. And because of that, the blessings of God are theirs in Jesus' name. I pray that you touched our hearts and our minds.
And that you will renew their minds and that you will renew their thoughts in Jesus' name that you would give them fresh thoughts and fresh things to think on. And they won't think about the loss, God, but they will think about the days ahead and the life that you have for them in Jesus' name. So we trust you, God, your word says for us to trust yo u and with all of our hearts. We trust you. We put our trust in you and we don't lean to our own understanding. We don't allow our understanding and the knowledge of things to be the determinant factor. But God, we know that you have a greater plan for us. In the name of Jesus. So God, in Jesus' name, we acknowledge you in all of our ways.
We say, teach us your way, show us your way. We don't know what to do and how to do it, but we acknowledge you have a greater plan for our lives. So we say, come and speak to our hearts and our minds that we may be directed, that you may direct our plans. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
