Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.
Father God, in the name of Jesus, we give you glory. We give you honor, and we give you praise and we worship your holy name. We desire the good things and the will of God to be done in our lives. And so God, we ask that you would bless us.
To understand, to recognize, and to put into effect the things that you have called us to do. And God, we know that those things will not be done except they are prayed. For your word, instructs us, that the will of God must be prayed in your forever. For you said when we pray, pray our father, which art in heaven, hallowed be they name. Thy kingdom comes, thy will be done on the earth as it's done in heaven.
And so God, we recognize from that truth that your will must be prayed into the earth rim. And God, I pray in the name of Jesus that you would teach us how to pray your will for our lives. Your will for the lives of our children. Your will, for the lives of our acquaintances, our family members in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We submit to your will. We submit to your way, and we say, have your way in us. In Jesus' name, your will be done. The good, the perfect plan that you have for us. Comes from above. We submit to the will and the plan of God for our lives in Jesus' name. Amen.
