Description

On this show we discuss the 2017 batch of concept Jeeps announced by Jeep.  This collection left us a little bit uninspired.  Rich is still busy with school for a while longer.  Craig is about $500 worth of parts away from his YJ being back on the road.

So maybe my last post about selling the XJ was a little emotional. I've decided that I am going to fix the Jeep. Details on that coming soon. For now though, I spent a bit of time installing this light bar from @auxbeamlighting. It's wicked bright! Look (and listen) for more info coming to a podcast feed near you.

Dan busted his Dana 44 rear axle which has caused the XJ to be parked in the driveway for a couple days.  It will take some time to get a new axle put together as a replacement.  The plan is to put a Ford 8.8 axle with a limited slip differential in place of the Dana 44.

The road to repair is starting with a "new" axle. #WeWillRebuild #NewTrucksAreExpensive #NewJeepsAreExpensive #MakeOldJeepsGreatAgain

While the XJ has been parked though, Dan installed a 50" AuxBeam light bar.  The experience with the 20" bar on the Yukon has been a positive one so it was worth trying out the bigger one.  Unfortunately, Dan hasn't been able to get out and really try the light bar because the XJ has not left the driveway.  A full review will be upcoming.  Also, you can get a 10% discount at auxbeam.com when you use the coupon code "4x4podcast".
