Marin Alsop is a chief conductor of ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. She is the first woman to lead a major US orchestra (Baltimore Symphony), and the first conductor to be awarded a MacArthur Fellowship. Marin is featured in the documentary The Conductor, which follows her journey from student to conductor, delving into women's struggles in music.
