Bill Patterson is the publisher of the Denton Record-Chronicle and owner and CEO of Denton Media Company. At the end of 2017, he repurchased the local newspaper from A.H Belo Corporation who had owned it since 1999. Before that, the Patterson family had owned the Denton Record-Chronicle since 1945, serving the Denton area since 1903.
