Narrator Judith West uses her mature, slightly raspy voice to great effect, shifting her tone to match the gradual buildup of suspense as the people around Kathleen begin to die in suspicious accidents. While West is particularly adept at the older characters' voices, her Kathleen rings charmingly true with a teenager's resentfulness and occasional petulance.
