Description

You set a goal, had specific expectations for how you wanted it to go, and when it didn't go as planned something inside of you shut down. That sickening feeling of failure - not the kind where you're ready to study, figure out what went wrong, and get back at it with new information, no. This feeling is one that drives you to look the other way, set the goal aside, watch Netflix: it's feeling like a failure.

Today I share a recent personal experience with this, how I noticed it showing up in my action (and lack of action), and how it influenced the way I show up for myself, others, and my goals. I explore what we can do by starting to recognize these symptoms and how specifically to overcome them through self-compassion and owning your own worthiness.
