Drew Steckelmann grew up in Indiana where he grappled with his sexuality and his alcoholism. After graduating from college, he moved to Chicago to pursue his dream of becoming a DJ and helped start the gay hip hop community movement: Banjee Report. He now lives in Los Angeles where he is studying to become a barber while working on his return to music.
