Ben Southall, Best Job in the World
A case study from my book, The Art of Bleisure
Sometimes you meet people and they just stick in your mind.
Ben Southall is one of those people.
Ben Southall is an adventurer and entrepreneur, best known for winning the "Best Job in the World" competition hosted by Tourism Queensland in 2009. This role involved living on Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef and promoting it to the world. Since then, Ben has authored a book and founded Best Life Adventures, a company that takes people on unique and challenging travel experiences.
We met in the most random way but the synergy of our life paths was wild. It was meeting Ben that sparked my husband and I to find our dream home area, which happens to be the region where Ben lives. His inspiring approach to life and how he manages to continue to travel with his wife and young son has been a guiding light for me these past years, even without being in regular contact.
Ben jumped at the chance to reconnect and thankfully leapt at the opportunity, as his life pattern, to be in this book. I don’t think I could have a book on bleisure without his philosophy and approach in it.
I love sharing this with you but I can't wait for you to read his case study in my book, The Art of Bleisure. Grab your copy here: emmalovell.au/book
