Description

How can businesses balance short-term financial concerns with long-term sustainable development goals? How does empathy play a role in creating a positive construction team culture? Why did the Bioterra Life Sciences project in San Diego decide to go all-electric? David Heilbrunn – Project Executive for Longfellow Real Estate Partners – addressed these issues, and many others, about the future of buildings.

David graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and recently finished his MBA at UCSD.

He spent almost 10 years working for General Contractors on projects including major hospitals in California.

David is currently overseeing the Design and Construction of the Bioterra Life Sciences project – the first all-electric Life Science building in San Diego.
