Description

This is the first part in an interview series that I did with writer/director/composer John Harrison. John started out as a friend and assistant director to George A. Romero (Dawn of the Dead, Creepshow, etc.) and went on to compose the score for both Creepshow and Day of the Dead. After that he became a writer and director on various shows such as Tales From The Darkside and Tales From The Crypt, and then also wrote and directed the adaptations of Dune and Children of Dune on SyFy. The first part in the interview series is actually from four years ago when I had hoped to start my podcast but didn't end up making it happen quite yet (the audio is not quite as good as my newer episodes, but certainly listenable). In this portion of the interview we discuss mostly his experiences on Creepshow, but also other aspects of his career including the Dune adaptations. Thanks again to John for being so friendly and willing to do an interview with a guy who hadn't even put one podcast episode out at that point!
