Oregon Correctional Enterprises (OCE) is one of the most admired operations of its kind in the county – and now in the world. The organization Ken runs engages adults in custody (AIC) in money-making businesses that serves to help normalize and humanize their experience in prison. Using business disciplines OCE engages 1,500 AICs and in so doing cut recidivism by 50 percent for the Oregon Department of Corrections.
