Welcome back to The Powerful Mind Podcast!. This week I got to chat with Mick Evans from One Line Coffee. They're a single-origin coffee shop with over 16 coffee varieties! They also roast coffees in-house, and are located in my lovely hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
Mick has stories to tell guys. He started out as a professional photographer out of school, and the industry changed when companies moved to digital cameras and photoshop. We talk about the most important lesson that he learned from his mom, and open up about how that has carried through to how he operates in life, and in his business.
We did the interview inside the coffee shop. You can hear the ambient sounds of a café running in the background. If you're in Columbus, Ohio you need to stop by the shop. Not only do they serve the best coffee in town, but the ambiance, the feel in the shop is very welcoming and rustic. It's a great place to relax, chat with some new amazing human beings and have an awesome time with some awesome coffee. There are images of the shop in the show-notes, one notable one being the Kyoto Tower Cold Drip brewer they have. It makes a truly amazing and aromatic cold brew. He also talks about the true mythical origins of coffee
This place is where I feel I truly gained my appreciation for coffee, in that I did not drink black coffee before coming here. I couldn't taste the distinct flavors in the coffee in the way that I can now after acclimating to their unique brews. In the interview we talk about a lot more than just coffee, but I think it's a great example of how your core values of life can carry through and amplify whatever it is that you do. Mick is a passionate, empathetic, and inspiring person who is living his life's dreams!
Remember that in everything that we do, people and relationships are what make up our lives. No matter the product, no matter the industry, we need to relate to people. Be empathetic. Truly love yourself, discover who you are and always strive to be better.
Reach out to Mick and the whole One Line Team on their social media. They're on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter @onelinecoffee. Check out their story on the website onelinecoffee.com, and while you're there buy a coffee. Or buy three! You get free shipping when you order 3 pouches or more. And no, I wasn't paid to say that, but I do believe that everyone deserves to drink a good cup of coffee in their lives.
Say thanks to the Mick and the team at One Line, let them know you appreciate their mission and what they do
