Today's episode features Jason Poot, owner of Transworld Business Advisors. One way to think about what he does is that he helps facilitate "The American Dream". The funny thing is how he stumbled into the industry that he's in.
He was a successful corporate executive making a decent six-figure salary. When corporate told him to go, he'd go and help his company succeed everywhere he went.
However, after the birth of his first child, he knew that he would need more control over his time so that he could afford to be with his family.
That's also when he discovered how difficult it was for someone to transition from corporate executive to business owner. There were no guidelines, and the "professionals" who were supposed to help were so tight-lipped that one wonders how anyone could actually become a business owner. There had to be an easier way, and Jason found it.
Now he helps others in similar situations to own their very own business.
