I can find leadership (and life) lessons in pretty much anything! When I first saw Disney / Pixar's 'Inside Out 2' when released in June 2024 - the insights were abundanct!
This film isn't just for kids and teens. I have found the connection in the film's portrayal of emotions and sense of self to the importance of emotional intelligence in leadership. Key points include the significance of understanding and managing your emotions, the evolution of personality, and the unhelpful outcomes when we surpress feelings.
I also highlight how leaders can benefit from vulnerable and empathetic approaches, promoting resilience and authenticity within your teams.
