"Who needs coaches anyway?" Well, every all-star and championship winning sports player and team has a coach or group of coaches. So why do people who are so good at their sport need coaches? This is something that really bugs me about dentistry; we have a lot of groups and people talking on Facebook about "oh you can do it yourself, you don't need a coach." Let me tell you, over my 39 years of practice, I had 9 different coaching groups come into my office to help me. Why? Because I knew early on that I didn't know how to run a business so I would need to invest in myself and my practice. Today, I'm going to talk about the coaching I've had through my career and what types were most helpful for getting me to the professional and personal levels I wanted to reach.
